Fakewood Table

Last summer, I suddenly found myself with a LOT of extra plywood and I decided to make a table out a piece of it. Hardwood furniture is one of the most beautiful things in the world to me, and you can successfully approach that look with plywood, but instead of trying to emulate a solid hardwood look, I decided to emulate a fake hardwood look. I carefully mapped out a fake grain and painted it on, including knots, end rings, and anything else that you might see on an actual hardwood table. Including false dovetails.
